Job Summary

Pro-Tax is seeking a highly skilled Share Schemes Tax Director to join our team. As a key member of our tax team, you will work closely with entrepreneurial businesses to provide expert advice on share options and employee share ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of EMI, ESS, and reward tax, including employment, NIC, and capital gains tax
  • Provide expertise on split interest, freezer, and nil paid arrangements
  • Prepare share valuations and liaise with HMRC
  • Manage and mentor staff
  • Profitably manage a client portfolio
  • Develop new clients and sell new services to existing clients
  • Aware of accounting, employment law, and company law implications of share incentives
  • Deal directly with clients, including agreement of fees
  • Stay up-to-date with HR and human capital drivers and implications of reward
  • Hold a degree level qualification (LLB preferred), and/or CTA and/or ATT/ACA qualification or equivalent
