Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Child Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Pennine Care NHS FT. The successful candidate will provide a psychiatric service for children and young people in Oldham, undertaking direct clinical work and supervision of the multidisciplinary team.

About the Role
  • To take clinical responsibility for a caseload of children and young people requiring mental health services.
  • To manage a needs-led interface with Working Age Psychiatry and other agencies involved with children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide a psychiatric service for children and young people in Oldham.
  2. Undertake direct clinical work and provide supervision to the multidisciplinary team.
  3. Manage a needs-led interface with Working Age Psychiatry and other agencies involved with children and young people.
  4. Taking clinical responsibility for a caseload of children and young people.
Requirements
  • A degree in medicine or equivalent qualification.
  • Completion of specialist training in psychiatry and experience working with children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work creatively with other agencies involved with children and young people.
Salary Information

The salary for this role is £85,000 - £115,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on current market rates and may be subject to change.
