About the Job:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to work closely with children who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, offering a competitive salary based on experience. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of £25,000 - £32,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students, working 1:1 or in small groups
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging, sensory-based learning activities
  • Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Foster positive social interactions and emotional development, ensuring each child feels valued and supported
  • Use communication aids and strategies to help students develop language and interaction skills
  • Help with personal care needs as required, always promoting independence and dignity
Requirements:
  • Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN (preferred)
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar (desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
