About the Role
The Managing Consultant is responsible for commercial growth, service area development, and ensuring quality delivery against clients' current and future needs. They deliver significant revenue expectations, lead IP and approach development, and coach team members to improve performance.

About Avalere Health Consulting
Avalere Health Consulting leads strategic engagements with clients, comprising three main areas: Advisory, Expert Partnerships, and Training. The Advisory team focuses on corporate strategy, portfolio planning, business development, commercial diligence, new product planning, and launch strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy and resources to create competitive differentiation
  • Lead and manage project teams, enhancing strategic thinking across team members
  • Understand client KPIs and objectives, building great client relationships
  • Ensure work exceeds client expectations
  • Navigate difficult conversations with clients and provide challenging feedback
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly, securing alignment across audiences
  • Act as an ambassador for the business vision, values, and strategy
  • Effectively lead a team, building morale under difficult circumstances
  • Maintain excellent quality and timeliness of work
  • Organize tasks to create high-performing teams, demonstrating delegation and team management
  • Provide regular feedback to get the best out of the team
  • Accountable for a significant revenue target
  • Identify new opportunities to extend Avalere Health's capabilities
  • Negotiate strategic agreements with a major positive impact on the business

About You
  • At least 7 years of experience in life science/healthcare consulting
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical and biotech organizations to deliver commercial strategy
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the operating environment, industry, and market factors
  • Experience in building go-to-market models, analyzing resources and organizational structure
  • Proven track record in business development with a strong network
