Befriender Volunteer for Person with Sight Loss

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Befriender Volunteer to support an individual with sight loss in Maidstone. As a Befriender, you will play a vital role in enhancing the person's life by providing companionship and assistance with daily activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and companionship to the person we support
- Assist with daily tasks and activities, such as going for walks, having lunch, or attending organized events
- Develop a trusting relationship with the person we support through regular interactions
- Work collaboratively with our experienced team in Maidstone to ensure a smooth introduction and ongoing support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be punctual, reliable, and flexible
- Kind, empathetic, and patient approach
