Befriender Volunteer for Person with Sight Loss

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Befriender Volunteer to support an individual with sight loss in Maidstone. As a Befriender, you will play a vital role in enhancing the person's life by providing companionship and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and companionship to the person with sight loss
- Accompany the person to various activities, such as walks, lunch, horse riding, or shopping
- Assist with daily tasks and provide practical support as needed
- Build a trusting relationship with the person and their family
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and punctuality
- Confidentiality and discretion
