Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team at Middleby UK. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the finance team, producing monthly management accounts, and developing modern financial controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the finance department, including a Credit Controller and an Accounts Assistant.
  • Produce monthly management/financial accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Update and modernize financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement modern and effective MI/KPI reporting suites.
  • Take ownership of the annual budget process, developing input tools for the business.
  • Collate and analyze complex data from various sources within the company.
  • Present the budget to senior management and the wider Middleby management teams.
  • Prepare and present bridging analyses explaining changes in the figures from prior years.
  • Forecast and monitor all aspects of the accounts, providing adjustments to forecasts where required.
  • Report on updates and variances to budgets and previous forecasts.
  • Take responsibility for Cash Flow Forecasting and Cash Management.
  • Work closely with auditors for the production of statutory accounts.
  • Perform variance analysis, sales and margin analysis, and complete VAT returns.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and lead on Capex activities.
  • Liaise with departments across the business to support them in managing their budgets and financial planning.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant, preferably CIMA.
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 desirable.
  • Skilled in interpreting complex financial data and analyzing data using Excel.
  • Able to present financial data to financial and non-financial people alike.
  • Adept at forming a bridge between Finance and the business to interpret and explain financial data and concepts.
  • Display the ability to drill down to detail while understanding the bigger picture.
  • Thorough understanding of management accounting principles.
  • Experience working in a group/multinational organization and familiar with working to group reporting standards and deadlines.
