About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our busy team at Middleby UK. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of financial expertise and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage the finance department, including a Credit Controller and an Accounts Assistant, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce monthly management/financial accounts in a timely and accurate manner, including analysis and presentation of management information.
  • Financial Controls: Update and modernize financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Business Intelligence: Develop and maintain modern and effective MI/KPI reporting suites to provide full visibility over business performance, efficiency, costs, and revenue/profit streams.
  • Budgeting: Take ownership of the annual budget process, developing input tools for the business, collating and analyzing complex data, and presenting the budget to senior management and the wider Middleby management teams.
  • Forecasting: Continuously monitor all aspects of the accounts and provide adjustments to the forecasts where required, reporting on updates and variances to budgets and previous forecasts.
  • Cash Management: Take responsibility for Cash Flow Forecasting and Cash Management, working closely with auditors for the production of statutory accounts.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze and present variance analysis, sales and margin analysis, and complete VAT Returns and all HMRC/Government reporting.
  • Intercompany Reconciliations: Oversee intercompany reconciliations and take the lead on Capex activities.
  • Financial Planning: Liaise with departments across the business to support them in managing their budgets and financial planning.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant, preferably CIMA.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of Sage 50, skilled in the interpretation of complex financial data, and expert in analyzing data using Excel. Familiarity with Access or similar applications is also desirable.
  • Experience: Proven ability to present financial data to financial and non-financial people alike, at all levels of the business. Experience of working in a group/multinational organization and familiarity with working to group reporting standards and deadlines is preferred.
