About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Countermeasure Development Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of countermeasure techniques and software tools, working closely with our software development team and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in developing models, designing and adding new features to the countermeasure software
  • Oversee technical work for all team members and line manage senior engineers
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Physics/Mathematical principles at degree-level
  • Experience with at least one of Electro-Optics (EO), Infra-Red (IR), or Radio Frequency (RF) sensors and systems within a defence setting

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of RF/EOIR countermeasures across multiple domains
  • Understanding of radar theory and modes of operation
  • Experience in line management and across the engineering lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Prototyping, Test, Integration, Deployment)
  • Writing detailed analysis and reports on countermeasure performance
