Job Title: Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS) at MASS Consultants. As a key member of our Countermeasure Development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing countermeasure techniques to protect against various threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain countermeasure models and simulations using MATLAB, Python, and Simulink.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure seamless integration of countermeasure software.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers on countermeasure development and delivery.
  • Manage technical work for junior team members and provide line management for some junior engineers.
  • Develop and implement new features in the countermeasure software.
Requirements:
  • Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and Simulink.
  • Understanding of modeling techniques, including stochastic, deterministic, and exploratory models.
  • Ability to generate simulation requirements, configure, and analyze reports.
  • Experience with at least two stages of model development (design, build, integration, test, deployment, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of physics and mathematical principles at degree level.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience modeling/programming RF/EO/IR countermeasure techniques (platform protection).
  • Experience line managing a team.
  • Knowledge of mathematics or physics involved in Radar, Electro-Optics, or Infra-Red system operation.
  • Interest in new technologies and their application within an EW domain.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members.
Security Clearance:

Due to the highly secure nature of the projects, you must be a UK National and eligible to work in the UK, and eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.
