We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Modelling Engineer to join our team at MASS Consultants. As a key member of our modelling team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and supporting new capability for our large-scale System-of-Systems project.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project, delivering technical excellence and contributing to the success of our team. You will be working closely with our Principal Modelling Engineer and other team members to design, implement, and test new capability, using both current and future technologies, techniques, and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, and support new capability for our System-of-Systems project
  • Work with both current and future technologies, techniques, and methodologies
  • Collaborate with the Project Design Authority to ensure high-quality delivery to the customer
  • Develop into the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the project, acting as a point of contact for stakeholder queries
  • Line manage and mentor graduate modelling engineers, generating Simulink-based models for deployment onto FPGA targets as part of production deliveries
Requirements
  • Experience deploying Simulink models to FPGA targets (HDL Coder toolbox)
  • System documentation (design & test)
  • Designing, building, and testing Simulink models
  • Experience modelling RF environments, including interfaces between stand-alone models and a broader network
  • Working in an agile manner (SCRUM)
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of line management
  • Experience working in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) test environments
  • Electronic Warfare domain knowledge
  • Familiarity with laboratory test equipment (Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes etc.)
  • Experience using VHDL/Verilog
