Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Burnley, Lancashire (Office-based with extensive UK travel)

Salary: Up to £46,000 DOE

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our clients award-winning instrumentation company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our innovative products across the UK. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong sales acumen to foster significant business relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A robust background in technical sales, preferably within a similar industry, demonstrating a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK, with 2-3 days of travel per week on average
  • Strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously
  • A degree in a relevant technical field is advantageous, enhancing understanding of the products and market
  • Must possess a valid driving license to meet the travel requirements of the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to enhance product reach and visibility
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while maintaining customer trust
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that projects are handed over effectively and meet all client specifications
  • Actively participate in industry conferences and forums to network with potential clients and promote our cutting-edge products
  • Develop strategic plans to effectively target key areas for business growth, including identifying new market opportunities
