Care Home Manager Vacancy

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lead to join our Residential Children's Home team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care and support
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the home, including planning and coordination
- Providing direct work with children and young people as appropriate
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for our residents
Key Responsibilities
In addition to the above, you will also be responsible for:
- Carrying out the role of on-call manager to provide OOH support for the home, on a rota basis
- Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
- Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model
- Maintaining accurate written records to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place
- Working in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working with young people in a residential setting
- A supportive and non-judgmental approach towards our residents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
