About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our specialist perinatal mental health service, you will play a vital role in supporting women with severe or complex mental health conditions who are planning pregnancy, pregnant, or have a child under one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with women, their infants, and families who are at risk of or experiencing severe and complex perinatal mental health conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of perinatal mental health training and education to other staffing groups.
  • Participate in safeguarding adult enquiries and complete safeguarding lead training.
  • Provide supervision to junior staff.
  • Offer specialist advice and consultation to other staff regarding the management of women experiencing severe and complex mental health conditions during the perinatal phase.
  • Develop close working relationships and liaison work with our teams' key stakeholders, including maternity services and health visiting.
Requirements
  • Professional Health/Social Care qualification.
  • HCPC or NMC Professional Registration.
  • Experience of inter-agency working, developing user and carer involvement, and delivering care in a variety of settings.
