Job Description

This Social Care Practitioner role at Sanctuary Personnel Ltd involves working with children in need and their families, focusing on child protection, care protection, and looked-after children cases. The successful candidate will lead statutory cases, develop collaborative working relationships with allied health and social care practitioners, and establish effective communication with schools, children's centres, and other settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead professional in statutory cases, including child protection, care protection, and care proceedings.
  • Undertake social work tasks, such as assessment, planning, implementation, and review.
  • Develop expertise in key risk factors affecting children's welfare, such as parental alcohol/substance misuse, mental health problems, and homelessness.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive approach to APIR and safeguarding.
  • Promote effective working arrangements with schools, children's centres, and other settings.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registration.
