Customs Clearance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Administrator to join our team at DP World. This role will involve providing accurate and timely administration services to ensure the smooth operation of our logistics function.
About the Role
- Receive and process pre-advice and shipping documents from carriers, creating system references in our warehouse management system.
- Supply clearance instructions to agents, ensuring all paperwork is in order and following up on any incorrect or missing documentation.
- Check customs entries and update internal files with relevant details.
- Transfer data to the Customs system using set up templates.
- Prepare necessary Customs documents for import and export.
- Monitor stock levels and resolve discrepancies between our warehouse management system and the Customs system.
- Ensure all import and export activities comply with relevant customs regulations and laws, including accurate classification of goods and correct documentation.
- Communicate directly with customers, transport agents, and customs brokers.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to effectively enter data into cells and complete reconciliations of records using lookups and pivot tables.
Requirements
- Highly accurate individual with experience working in fast-paced business environments.
- Able to maintain accuracy and focus during periods of high pressure.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (pivots/lookups).
- Strong communicator able to liaise with stakeholders of all levels.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
