About the Role:
Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an accomplished Strategic Portfolio Manager to spearhead project excellence within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in computer science, business, or a technical field, with over 10 years of experience in project and program management, including 7+ years in Agile portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and direct large portfolios of projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and scope satisfaction.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for managing a portfolio of projects, collaborating with solution delivery Vice Presidents.
  • Anticipate and mitigate obstacles that hinder progress, escalating and addressing risks/issues to senior management levels.
  • Partner with engineering teams to drive program planning and delivery for both waterfall and agile projects.
  • Evaluate compliance with project delivery methods, tools, framework, and IT controls.
  • Cultivate partnerships with the IT Budget Management team to actively manage and deliver financial commitments for investment portfolios.
  • Support project initiators and solution teams during funding approvals.
  • Collaborate with Release Management to identify interdependencies and risks across the IT project portfolio.
  • Maintain resource plans accounting for all resource capacity and utilization across the IT function.
  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure contractual agreements are met.
  • Lead organizational readiness and change management initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Lean Portfolio Management.
  • Proficiency working with agile, SAFe, scrum teams.
  • Agile / SAFe certification.


Salary Range:
$145,000 - $175,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
