Electrical Test and Inspection/Installations Engineer Role

About the Job:
In this key position, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical installations across various sites in the ROI and the UK. Your tasks will include conducting EICRs, emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis, thermal imaging, and small remedial repairs as required. Additionally, you will need to complete relevant reports and certification using our cloud-based software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of customer electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Carry out testing and certification procedures, including EICRs, emergency lighting testing, and fire alarm inspections.
  • Analyze mains electricity supply systems and conduct thermal imaging surveys.
  • Perform small-scale repairs and replacements as needed, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Utilize company-provided equipment and software to record and report findings.

What We Offer:

Salary and Benefits:
This role comes with a competitive salary range of £38,937.60 to £40,884.48 per annum, with an average earnings potential of approximately £50,350 (base salary plus bonus, on-call, overtime/weekends, and paid travel time). You can also expect realistic earning potential excluding overtime on weekends, circa £46,500. Our bonus structure is uncapped, providing opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices. A full UK driving license with six points or less is essential, as well as SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications in electrical installation. City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification and IPAF 3a & 3b license are also mandatory. Experience working in an electrical testing environment and familiarity with commercial lighting replacements are highly desirable. A good level of IT literacy and understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace are necessary for success in this role.
