**The Role and Company**

I’m partnering with one of Ireland's leading electrical contractors with over 30 years of industry excellence. The company has an impressive project portfolio and specialises in commercial and industrial projects, offering a range of services from turnkey solutions to sustainable energy systems.

As an Senior Electrical Estimator, you will report directly to the Managing Director and work with them closely to provide accurate and detailed project estimates and bids by efficiently costing projects for the business. You will have the opportunity to lead and grow the Estimating department in a dynamic and high-growth company that has experienced strong growth and is entering new markets.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Perform take-offs from drawings, and schematics to quantify materials and labour.
- Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with Directors, Contracts Managers, Project Managers, and Engineers to ensure accurate estimates.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in project plans and specifications.
- Track and report on estimating metrics and adjust processes as necessary.
- Assist in project scheduling and budgeting.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

**What you’ll need**

**Experience, skills, and qualifications**
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Strong knowledge and competency in using estimating software and tools.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred but not required.
