Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Solicitor to join our legal team at Hunter Lawyers and Accountants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and possess excellent negotiation skills. This role involves advising clients on various employment-related matters, representing them in disputes, and ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert legal advice on employment law issues, including contracts, dismissals, discrimination, and workplace policies.
  2. Represent clients in negotiations and disputes, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.
  3. Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  4. Conduct thorough research on employment law developments and case law to provide informed guidance to clients.
  5. Assist in the resolution of disputes through mediation or litigation as necessary.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in employment legislation and best practices within the field.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service throughout the legal process.

Requirements

  1. Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate in England and Wales.
  2. Proven experience in employment law is essential.
  3. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret complex legal information.
  7. A commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry changes.
