Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Social Worker - Adult Safeguarding Team

Location: Isle of Wight, UK

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Social Worker who can demonstrate a strong understanding of adult safeguarding principles and practices. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in social work, with a proven track record of working with adults at risk and their families.

In this role, you will be responsible for chairing and overseeing the coordination of safeguarding meetings, working closely with partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users. You will also be expected to provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, contributing to the development of the team's skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair and coordinate safeguarding meetings, ensuring effective decision-making and communication with all stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement safeguarding plans, working collaboratively with service users, families, and partner agencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, contributing to the team's development and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Social Worker.
  • Proven experience in adult safeguarding, including conducting investigations and developing safeguarding plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
