About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Asset Accountant to join our financial accounts team at bet365. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining all aspects of the fixed asset process.


Main Responsibilities

  • Consolidate a Fixed Asset Register (FAR) on a period-by-period basis to facilitate the year-end process and reconciliation.
  • Provide support to the budgeting and forecasting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Build relationships with the wider business on items of a capital nature, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Process and monitor additions and disposals accurately, ensuring compliance with UK Accounting Standards.
  • Mitigate risk, particularly around documentation for audit sampling, to maintain the highest level of financial integrity.
  • Deal with ad hoc requests proactively, demonstrating a proactive and positive approach to tasks.


Requirements

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, with a strong understanding of UK Accounting Standards.
  • Experience in the transacting and controlling of all aspects of fixed assets, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, with the ability to analyze and present complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of finance system management and internal control, with a focus on risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
