English Teacher for SEMH Students

We are seeking an experienced English teacher to join our team at a therapeutic SEND school in Tameside, catering for boys aged 11-16 with SEMH needs.

About the Role

This is a full-time temporary teaching position from September onwards, requiring an English teacher or SEND teacher with experience of KS2 and KS3 English.

The successful candidate will deliver KS2, KS3, and KS4 English classes, as well as some PSHE lessons, differentiated across a broad range of abilities and emotional needs.

The school welcomes applications from specialist SEN teachers and secondary and primary teachers looking to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Requirements
  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or an equivalent Further education teaching qualification such as PGCE Special Needs or Certificate of Education.
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with a full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work full time in the UK.
