Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at the Institute of the Motor Industry. Limited, based in South Yorkshire.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing process and system problems, as well as supporting operational teams across the business.

You will utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques, including Kaizen, 5S, Visual Factory, Standardized Work, and Root Cause Analysis, to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead a sometimes reluctant workforce towards a desired outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Championing waste reduction throughout the organisation using lean/Kaizen manufacturing techniques
  2. Developing robust control plans using a detailed FMEA process
  3. Conducting inspections and tests
  4. Reviewing non-conforming products
  5. Maintaining document control
  6. Leading audits
  7. Fostering continuous improvement through lean, OEE, and root cause analysis
  8. Developing and leading a high-performing team

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in quality assurance, with experience in implementing lean manufacturing techniques.

A minimum salary of £45,000 per annum is available for this role.
