About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Practitioner Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our Stepped Care Therapy Team within Older Peoples' Mental Health Secondary Care Services in Cambridge.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly and supportive team comprising Clinical Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and an OT Assistant. We regularly host trainees from all disciplines and are a proactive team that uses a broad range of therapeutic approaches and works in a person-centred way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment and therapy services to clients referred to Older People's Stepped Care Therapies Service in the Cambridge and Ely locality.
  • Offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other non-professional carers.
  • Provide supervision and guidance for more junior staff, including Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Trainee Cognitive Behaviour Therapists, and Mental Health Practitioners.
