The Royal Astronomical Society is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Society's staff, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation.

The successful candidate will have a senior accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA, and significant experience in the charity sector. They will also have a strong understanding of Charity SORP and be able to work with data analysis and databases.

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, Treasurer, and Board of Trustees to provide timely and accurate financial insights, aiding strategic decision-making to further the Society's charitable goals. They will also be responsible for leading the budgeting process, preparing monthly management accounts, and generating quarterly and annual financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate with people at all levels. They will also be able to multi-task and manage workloads, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
