About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Abel & Cole. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, customers, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that our business complies with all applicable Health and Safety laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks to our employees, customers, and the environment.
  • Health and Safety Policy and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain our Health and Safety policy and procedures, ensuring that they are up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to our employees on Health and Safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate and report all Health and Safety incidents, near misses, and accidents, ensuring that they are properly documented and addressed.
  • Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders on Health and Safety matters, ensuring that everyone is aware of their responsibilities and roles.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Health and Safety management role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with a strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
