Residential Child Care Manager

Are you a dedicated and experienced leader with a passion for providing exceptional care to children and young people? In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our managers in overseeing a group of children's residential care homes.
Your RoleAs the Registered Manager, you must have experience mentoring others and approach leadership with consideration and progressiveness. Your role involves creating a family environment for young people in line with our therapeutic parenting ethos, which encourages development through a warm and nurturing approach. You will receive full support from experienced care professionals, HR, property maintenance, and referral experts who oversee all aspects of running the home. Your responsibility will be to promote the development of a high-quality, stimulating, and educationally rich environment in which children and young people can thrive.
Benefits for Residential Child Care ManagerYour starting salary is between £44,000 to £50,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on your experience, qualifications, and training.
- Your hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility can be considered.

The client specializes in providing residential child care for vulnerable young people between the ages of 8 and 18.
- Our mission is to continue to lead the way in offering bespoke therapeutic care and education to vulnerable young people.
- Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification (England) or Qualified to SCQF Level 7 / HNC (Scotland) or Level 3 Residential Childcare.
- Two years experience, within the past five years, working in children's residential care,
- One year's experience within the past five years, leading or supervising employees in a care home environment,
- Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills,
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills,
- A willingness to attain your Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10 (Scotland) or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England)
- Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to safeguarding our children and young people,
- Exceptional knowledge of safer recruitment practices
- Proficient IT skills and experience in using Microsoft packages,
- A full, valid UK driver's license
- Knowledge of Therapeutic Parenting would be advantageous
