About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Active Care Group, a pioneering national provider of complex care services. As a key member of our interprofessional rehabilitation team, you will work with clients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and neurological degenerative conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake initial client assessments and develop bespoke rehabilitation plans, incorporating specialist knowledge and inter-disciplinary team contributions.
  • Provide line management support and supervision to team members, ensuring effective clinical and organisational leadership.
  • Ensure timely escalation of team issues and concerns to senior management.
  • Provide specialist differential diagnosis, clinical advice, and therapy/management plans to clients with neurological impairments.
  • Work autonomously, using initiative and taking responsibility for defined areas of clinical specialism.
  • Develop advanced skills and share knowledge and skills with others through mentorship, training, and joint sessions.
  • Be accountable for own professional actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice as appropriate.
  • Work within defined departmental and national protocols/policies and professional code of conduct to guarantee quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years post-graduate experience.
  • Current registration with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience of working within a neurological care and rehabilitation setting.
