About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Coordinator to join our team at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital. As an Oncology Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients and staff in the Oncology Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Book and manage patient appointments, including clinics and chemotherapy sessions
  • Greet and escort patients to their appointments, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience
  • Organize and prepare Consultant Clinics, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available
  • Arrange port insertions, blood transfusions, and other relevant procedures, working closely with our medical team
  • Support the Breast Service, ensuring all necessary preparations and arrangements are in place
  • Chase CT, MRI, and PET Scan appointments and results, ensuring timely communication with patients and staff
  • Update COSHH folders, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Answer telephone calls and direct patient queries to the relevant person or department
  • Complete GP Discharge summaries from IQEMO, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Minute meetings and ensure all notes are filed and archived accordingly
  • Liaise with Consultants and Secretaries regarding patients, providing excellent communication and support
Requirements
  • Experience in a customer service-focused environment, with a proven track record of delivering excellent patient care
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to different situations and personalities
  • Approachable, personable, and able to work in a pressurized environment, always keen to delight customers and improve their experience
  • A team player with exceptional planning and organization skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision
  • Exceptional time-keeping, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and targets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible and 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent IT skills, with proven experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
