About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Coordinator to join our team at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital. As a key member of our Oncology Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient appointments, including clinics and chemotherapy sessions
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and collecting patients from reception and escorting them to appointments
  • Organize and prepare consultant clinics, ensuring all necessary materials are available
  • Arrange port insertions, blood transfusions, and other relevant procedures
  • Support the Breast Service team, ensuring all necessary preparations are in place
  • Chase CT, MRI, and PET scan appointments and results, ensuring timely communication with patients and clinicians
  • Update COSHH folders, maintaining accurate records
  • Answer telephone calls, fielding queries and directing patients to relevant personnel or departments
  • Complete GP discharge summaries from IQEMO, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Minute meetings, ensuring all actions and decisions are recorded and communicated effectively
  • Ensure all patient notes are filed and archived accurately, maintaining a secure and organized record-keeping system
  • Liaise with consultants and secretaries regarding patient care, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • Experience in a customer service-focused environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to different situations and personalities
  • Approachable, personable, and able to work effectively in a pressurized environment
  • Exceptional planning and organization skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision
  • Exceptional time-keeping, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible and 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
