Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and innovative Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join our team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of palliative care at St Christopher's Hospice. You will be responsible for leading the development of our palliative care services, working closely with our medical consultant body, and contributing to the delivery of our new vision for specialist end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of our palliative care services, including service expansion and clinical education
- Provide senior support to the organisation, including on-call clinical cover across community and inpatient settings
- Take a lead role in the development of one of our key areas, such as clinical education, quality improvement, or research
- Support the continuing development of integrated frailty services and our work integrating with the acute sector
Requirements
- Medical Degree and Registration with GMC
- Palliative Care experience, with a track record in service development and clinical leadership
- Desirable: On specialist register for Palliative Care, with experience working across NHS and community settings
