Main Responsibilities- Delivering Personalized Care: Provide individualized care to patients, tailoring treatment plans to meet their unique needs and preferences, and regularly updating care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

- Task Management and Delegation: Prioritize and delegate nursing duties within the shift, ensuring a safe and efficient environment, and managing tasks to meet the needs of patients and the team.
- Escalating Concerns: Address and report concerns about patient well-being, incidents, or staffing issues promptly, and take proactive steps to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

- Staff Support and Mentorship: Assist new, junior, and agency staff, ensuring they adhere to care standards, complete their induction, and receive the support they need to succeed.
- Training and Competency: Fulfil all mandatory training and competency assessments on time, and participate in regular clinical supervision and reflective practice.
- Safeguarding: Be aware of and follow safeguarding policies and procedures, attending required training, and take a proactive approach to protecting vulnerable patients.
- Legislative Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act, Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and adhere to company policies on medicines management.
- Managing Challenging Behaviour: Handle challenging behaviour according to company policies, support junior staff, and develop de-escalation strategies to promote a positive and respectful environment.
- Qualifications and Experience: Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and completion of preceptorship or an equivalent programme.
- Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices, and demonstrated evidence of continuing professional development since registration.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Capable of developing and employing flexible, innovative approaches to clinical practice, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
