Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Join GSL Education as a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant and play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs or those requiring additional guidance.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to understand the specific needs of each student.
  • Implement and adapt educational plans to support individual learning requirements.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students during classroom activities and lessons.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement.
  • Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive school atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially in providing 1:1 support to students with SEN, is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individual student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
