Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and a passion for working with older adults. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

* Provide occupational therapy services to patients on Eden and Harlaw wards, with the possibility of working on dementia assessment wards and off-site Hospital Based Clinical Complex Care wards as needed
* Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's needs, goals, and preferences
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop care plans
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care

Requirements

* Relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a mental health setting
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
* Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, with a focus on patient-centered care
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing the needs of patients and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
