Front Office Manager Job Description

Pine Trees Hotel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Manager to join our team in Pitlochry, Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Front Office team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a warm welcome to all guests.
  • Manage the operation of Reception, controlling the allocation of guest bedrooms and ensuring all staff are aware of daily availability and special events.
  • Recruit and select Front Office team members, following the Company Recruitment and Selection process.
  • Monitor and control operating costs, including wage costs, in line with business levels indicated through weekly forecasting sheets.
  • Deal with guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring a positive outcome.
  • Be knowledgeable of hotel rates, terms of business, and facilities, and effectively communicate this information to guests.
  • Ensure security procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.
  • Assist in creating a team environment that promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in the department and hotel.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Front Office Assistant Manager, Reception Manager, or Senior Supervisor.
  • Advanced knowledge of Infor and ability to competently take a reservation and allocate rooms to guests.
  • Ability to deal with guest complaints in a calm and positive manner and bring to a suitable conclusion.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Clear understanding of the need for confidentiality.
Desirable:
  • Good awareness of Health & Safety in the work place.
  • Understanding of the Brand Audit and ability to action where necessary.
  • Competent in monitoring wages within budgetary restrictions.
