**Role Overview**
Are you a talented individual looking to develop your career in a progressive organisation? This is a unique opportunity to join the Trust’s Policy team as it looks to develop its resources and expand its capacity to influence.
The role reports directly to the Head of People and will collaborate with a team working across Scotland and the wider UK. The People team plays a critical role in the Trust achieving its mission and vision. They do this by providing systems, processes and interventions that are aligned to the strategy and that enable the organisation to fulfil its potential. They are on a journey as a team of transformation to enhance the service and value they provide.
**Main responsibilities**
The People Officer will support the embedding of a new people system, and service proposition, and driving process improvements across the People Team. The role supports recruitment administration, onboarding, legal compliance, data and reporting and other general people related activities within the Trust.
- Support initiatives centred around enhancing the overall employee experience and employer brand
- Manage, motivate and develop the People Team who provide comprehensive operational support for the team in delivering the strategy and vision
- Support embedding the new People System, acting as system administrator, and making sure that they are making the best use of it and that staff are confident in using it.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the overall People Strategy and deliver projects identified as key enablers to the overall People and organisation strategy
- Support the People team’s service proposition, including ensuring that the team deliver effective and high-quality administration
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders across the People, Strategy to ensure that all new recruits receive a smooth and effective induction and feel supported throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Maintain a full suite of policies and user guides and increase accessibility to drive consistency, clarity and accountability within the organisation.
- Nurtures professional relationships with colleagues at all levels and with external contacts and partners to support the achievement of objectives
- Analyses available information to make logical and sound judgments. Questions assumptions and seeks further insight to inform decision making Information and Data
- 1-3 years HR Administration and systems experience
- 2-3 years recruitment/selection experience
- Applies HR metrics and understands their value in an organisation
- Good understanding of HR related compliance matters and data protection requirements, including GDPR Person specification
- Ability to: think innovatively; communicate confidently; take initiative and take on responsibility; work well with others as part of a team; demonstrate empathy to different perspectives
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
