About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support our students in Northallerton. This role requires someone who is passionate about education and has experience working with children with complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, building positive relationships with students and staff, and managing challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive manner. They will also work with teachers to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience.

Key Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to students with complex needs.
  • Experience working with children with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs legislation and policy.
