About the role

Halter is revolutionizing the way farmers manage their land and animals, unlocking more productive and sustainable uses of the world's agricultural land while driving optimal profitability outcomes.

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the Mid Canterbury expansion for one of the world's fastest-growing companies. You will be responsible for equipping farms with Halter technology that will transform the way they farm to become leaders in productivity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive business growth and expansion in the Mid Canterbury region.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, industry partners, and internal teams.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager to enable monthly and quarterly forecasting of revenue and optimize the sales process.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including prospecting and networking.

Requirements:

  • Strong emotional intelligence, with clear examples of self-awareness and social awareness.
  • Experience in growing new business, owning the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to close.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
