About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at The Deepings Practice. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the provision of patient care, including BP monitoring, new patient health checks, CVD screening, ECG recording, phlebotomy, and urinalysis.
  • Support the clinical team in the delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care, including assisting with minor operations and theatre surgical procedures.
  • Organise and maintain stock levels, ensuring accurate labelling and safe dispatch of specimens.
  • Contribute to the effective management of patient data, including vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording.
  • Provide care to housebound patients in their home or care home, promoting independence and dignity.
Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Desirable: Qualified in Phlebotomy (training can be provided).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, communicating with patients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and adhering to Practice policies and procedures.
