About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Thorpe Hall Hospice. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality support to individuals with life-limiting conditions, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with individuals and their families, providing emotional support and reassurance.
  • Assist with the administration of medication, adhering to policy guidelines and ensuring patient safety.
  • Carry out domestic duties as agreed in the care plan, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Encourage and support mobility, adhering to moving and handling guidelines to prevent injury.
  • Assist with nutritional needs, as per the nutritional assessment, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
