About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Lead Chaplain / Head of Pastoral & Spiritual Care. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our team of volunteers and provide generic pastoral and spiritual support to patients, carers, and staff at the Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and support pastoral support volunteers
  • Work generically across the diversity of religious faiths and non-religious world views
  • Manage and supervise volunteers in a volunteering context
  • Provide evidence of management or supervisory experience
  • Have a working knowledge of the beliefs and practices of major world faiths and beliefs

Requirements
  • A relevant professional qualification and experience of providing pastoral and spiritual support
  • Effective budget and people management
  • A car driver with access to a car
Desirable
  • A qualification at diploma level in spirituality, religious studies, or theology
  • Management or leadership qualification (or equivalent experience)
