About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Head of Pastoral Care to join our Senior Leadership Team at a vibrant bilingual, all-through school in Wembley, London.

Key Responsibilities
  • As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will prioritize online safety and student welfare, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all students.
  • You will lead a diverse team, including a Deputy, Learning Support & Wellbeing Specialists, Nurse, Weblibrarian, Pastoral Team Leader, Student Supervisors, and Heads of Year, to deliver exceptional student care and support.
  • You will oversee the development and monitoring of Individual Personal Plans (PAPs) in collaboration with families, promoting student success and well-being.
  • You will provide training and support for student peer counsellors and friendship buddies, fostering a culture of empathy and understanding.
  • You will foster community networks through coffee mornings for parents, promoting a sense of belonging and connection.
  • You will promote digital wellbeing through the Common Sense media programme, ensuring students develop healthy online habits.
Requirements
  • A native-level English speaker; proficiency in French is preferred.
  • Postgraduate training or a Master's degree in Counselling or Psychotherapy.
  • A strong commitment to confidentiality and child safeguarding.
