Domestic Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Domestic Assistant. As a key member of our Estates and Facilities department, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including general cleaning, isolation cleaning, and high and low dusting, to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
- Operate cleaning equipment, machinery, and cleaning materials, adhering to health and safety guidelines and protocols.
- Empty clinical and general waste bins and place bags in designated areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Participate in terminal cleans and infection control procedures, adhering to Trust policy and national cleaning standards.
- Remove and clean up uncontained body fluid spillages, following Trust policy and national cleaning standards.
- Undertake Bioquell Q50-HPV decontamination duties, adhering to all methods and responsibilities.
- Adopt a flexible approach when undertaking domestic duties, adapting to changing priorities and needs.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of cleaning and domestic assistant roles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people and understand written and verbal communications.
- Ability to organize and prioritize day-to-day tasks.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet service needs.
