Job Role

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is seeking an Advanced Recruitment Specialist to join our Training Team based in Oxford.

This role is focused on supporting the MTC Training team in all aspects of apprenticeship recruitment, STEM engagement with Schools and Education partners, and providing a fair and professional recruitment service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead on full arrangements for all interview and assessment centres throughout the calendar year.
  • Offer employability information, advice, and guidance to apprentice applicants.
  • Develop a pipeline of applicants meeting Business Development targets and KPIs.
  • Lead on Open Evening and attraction events at the MTC Training centres.
  • Coordinate all STEM and outreach activities that promote our apprenticeship offering.
  • Work closely with MTC Training marketing colleagues in the promotion of our apprenticeship programmes.
  • Manage all recruitment platforms, such as National Apprenticeship Vacancy Matching Service.
  • Complex and varied caseload management.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who:

Essential:

  • Fully competent in the use of MS applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision as well as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Offsite STEM visits will be required/client visits and events required, so own transport is essential.

Desirable:

  • Qualification in employability and/or Information, Advice and Guidance.
  • Understanding of the engineering sector.
  • Knowledge of STEM and ED&I and the impact it can have.
  • Previous experience in apprentice recruitment.
  • Previous experience in the STEM sector.
  • Events organisation.
  • Marketing experience.
