Job Title: Senior Technical Drafter

Gordon Murray Group is a UK-based global luxury brand dedicated to creating and manufacturing the world's greatest driving cars. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Drafter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards and drawing practices to ensure consistency and quality across engineering documentation.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software to create accurate and detailed engineering drawings, collaborating with design and engineering teams to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.
  • Establish and maintain document control procedures to manage revisions, approvals, and distribution of engineering drawings, ensuring accurate and timely documentation updates.
  • Uphold stringent quality standards in the development of engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with design intent.
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with design engineers to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Develop and deliver dedicated GD&T training courses to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement engineering methods and processes in line with best practice and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the creation and development of engineering drawings within the automotive or engineering sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and in-depth knowledge of engineering standards and drawing practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in developing and reviewing technical drawings.
