About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced industry professional with a passion for animation, focusing on their craft to create outstanding character performance and gameplay animations. The duration is for a contractor for 6 to 9 months.
An enthusiastic and positive member of the team who collaborates with various disciplines to deliver an outstanding animation experience through solid visual storytelling.
- Create high-quality narrative & gameplay animations using industry-leading software and tools.
- Collaborate with the Art Director and Lead Animator to develop animation concepts that align with the artistic vision of the game.
- Seek out and share methods to improve animation quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience as a Principal Animator on at least one shipped title.
- 3 to 5 years of games experience in this position or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a selection of high-quality character animations.
- Deep understanding of animation principles and techniques.
- Solid understanding of animation software such as Maya & MotionBuilder.
- Knowledge of using motion capture data.
- Good understanding of modern game engines.
- Basic understanding of animation graphs & state machines.
