This position involves providing essential support to an adult client with a spinal injury and intricate health requirements in a home environment.

We seek high-caliber, dynamic Care Support Specialists with experience in assisting individuals with spinal injuries and the ability to deliver home-based care.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience as a Complex Care Support Specialist working with individuals with spinal injuries.
  • A strong interest in sports and fitness.
  • Flexibility, maturity, independence, and the highest professional standards.
  • A commitment to providing client-specific care.
  • An adaptable approach to supporting clients and their families.
  • The ability to maintain clear professional boundaries in a home setting.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for exceptional Care Support Specialists who have experience working with a variety of conditions and age groups. If you have a background in supporting adults with spinal injuries, we would like to hear from you.

This role requires support in a specified area, with part-time hours available:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Thursday: 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM

As a Care Support Specialist, you will assist clients in engaging in community-based activities as part of their development.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in relevant subjects.
  • NVQ Level 4 in relevant subjects.
  • Nursery nurse qualification or equivalent.
  • Diploma in a relevant health or social subject.

Experience

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in a similar role demonstrating commitment to mandatory training and engagement.
  • Previous care experience in health, social care, or childcare settings.
  • Experience in communicating complex or sensitive information and overcoming barriers to understanding.
  • Understanding of Information Governance, Data Protection, and safeguarding standards.
  • Experience in both acute and community settings.
  • Experience in mental health support.
