About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Healthcare Science Support Worker to join our Biochemistry Department in Blood Sciences at Darent Valley Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to our qualified Biomedical Scientists in maintaining a high-quality laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with stock control of reagents and maintain a clean and safe environment for all staff.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, manage the processing of blood and urine samples, and perform some manual testing of samples.
  • Work independently, using your initiative to prioritize duties and ensure daily tasks are completed.
  • Liaise with colleagues and company engineers to maintain a smooth laboratory operation.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience of laboratory practices.
  • Basic knowledge of biomedical procedures, computer literacy, and good keyboard skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work accurately under pressure, and communicate effectively with colleagues.
