We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Support Professional to join our team at Empower Family Group. Our residential children's homes provide a safe and supportive environment for young people to thrive.
About the Role
As a Therapeutic Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the well-being and development of our residents, promoting their independence, and encouraging positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
- Ensure the provision of a safe and nurturing environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, working closely with the management team and other professionals.
- Provide guidance and support to new staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the team, sharing your expertise and ideas.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong understanding of child development and the needs of vulnerable young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting, preferably in a therapeutic or support role.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support, promoting the well-being and development of our residents.
